The Lush Life
LUSH Canada
By Tonie Minsal
I want to make this perfectly clear from the start: this is
not an all natural review.
This a shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, & toothpaste review.
I’ve been using and reviewing all natural products for years &
years & years, and I have yet to find all natural hair,
underarm, & oral care products that don’t stink. If you know of
any, please do let me know.
Canada’s LUSH has some cool products and a nice, helpful staff ~
hi Brandi & Jen!
I ran to try LUSH’s White Toothpaste & Black
Tooth Gel ~ they did not disappoint. The White is a salt
& vanilla combo that left my teeth feeling clean & smooth. The
Black smells & tastes impossibly beauteous with essential oils
of lemon, lime, & sandalwood. The best tasting toothpaste I’ve
ever used.
Relax ~ it’s black from the charcoal it contains. Get these two
now. My only request? Make the tubes about 5 times bigger!
I really like how squeaky clean LUSH’s shampoos got my hair; no
small feat where I live, as we have super hard water with tons
of minerals in it.
I would’ve bought LUSH’s Hard Solid Shampoo for
the name alone! A candy pink block topped with pretty flowers,
this product is made specially for folks who live in hard water
areas. Hard left my hair feeling really clean, & smelling
lovely.
The Ultimate Shine Solid Shampoo is a fun one ~
like a great big aspirin shot through with gold glitter. This
one is creamy and sudsy and definitely does the job. I think
this shampoo would be a great choice for people that like a
really strong cleaning shampoo.
LUSH’s Karma Komba Solid Shampoo is very nice ~
pea green & smells like hot spiced orange juice ~ kind of
cider-y. Nice and gentle. Tons & tons of bubbles, & left my hair
blindingly shiny. My favorite of the Solid Shampoos.
Recommended.
The Godiva Solid Shampoo is for those of you that
like a reeeally fragrant shampoo; I had to put this puppy in my
bathroom cupboard because it smells so strong! Really sweet &
flowery.
Jungle Solid Conditioner is really fun to use and
worked great. A green bar of butter, Jungle weighed my thick,
wavy hair down nicely. Smells of gardenia methinks.
T’EO Deodorant is a solid bar of baking soda which
smells of lemongrass. I wasn’t sure about this one, as it’s as
if you’re putting nothing on at all, but I’m happy to report
that T’EO left me smelling fresh & feeling dry. Recommended.
My only complaint about these products is the lack of packaging
~ it can be a hassle. Other than that, I was really pleased with
everything.
