Tonie Minsal
Tonie Minsal is a HouseFrau who lives in California. Having always been cosmetically promiscuous, Tonie's addiction to bath and skincare products has reached truly staggering proportions. Her motto is
"Hey, I don’t drink, I don’t smoke - so what if I spend four
or five hundred dollars here and there on bath stuff?!"
Tonie is always on the lookout for new and obscure products with two conditions: they have to be totally natural and cruelty-free. A vegetarian who is well versed on the subjects of herbalism, aromatherapy and homeopathy, Tonie is a firm believer in the fact that whatever you put on your skin gets absorbed into your body.
Being almost militantly opposed to the use of such nasties as mineral oil, parabens, artificial colors and fragrances has led Tonie on a lifelong search for the ever elusive Holy Grails of natural skincare.
The subject has even become a running joke in the Minsal household, with Tonie’s husband saying
"You have us washing with these nuts and grains again?!"
Tonie takes great pleasure in discovering new and obscure natural skincare companies, especially when the products are handmade.
Besides a morning shower, a nightly bath is always on the menu at Chez Minsal,
so there’s always ample opportunity to try out new stuff.
Patchouli, sandalwood, linden, and neroli are the olfactory ways
to Tonie’s heart.
