Your Just Desserts
Foodie Roots
By Lisa Link Phillips
What happens when you give a certified "foodie" (for those of
you unfamiliar with the term, a foodie, also known as a food
snob, is one who lives to eat, not eats to live) and body
product junkie a bevy of dessert-scented bath and body care
products? Well, let me tell you, it is a happy, happy day for
the lover of luxury in question, who, in this case, just happens
to be me.
Yes, it is true; and I know some of you know where I'm coming
from. I was first introduced to, and now share the status of "foodie"
with my father, who showed me the world of fine dining at the
wee age of 4.
Although I have never been a picky
eater, the glory of food became clear to me when I was allowed
to order lobster tail and crème brulee off the "adult" menu. Of
course, with an introduction like that, the kiddie menu was no
longer an option.
Thus began my lifelong love of cooking and
fine cuisine! Nowadays, I actually work with my father, and on
our business trips, it is not uncommon to drive 40 miles out of
our way to try "a little place we heard about." Yes indeed,
folks; once you've stroked your inner gourmand, there's no going
back!
As a result of this food and product snobbery status, I was the
logical pick to sample a variety of luscious, dessert-scented
products from The Body Bakery, Cake Beauty, and Philosophy.
And,
with scents like Wedding Cake, Key Lime Pie, and Banana Nut
Bread, there's definitely something to appeal to everyone. So,
find a yummy snack and read on.

And that, dear readers, brings me to the end of this decadent
round of reviews. If you crave something sweet, without the
gazillion calories, there are some amazing choices in this lot.
Enjoy!
